With its vintage atmosphere and blue huts, Monta stands out from the other seaside resorts on the coast. Our wide beaches bordered by wild dunes give a sense of freedom. You don’t need a plane to get away from it all, as California invites itself to the Médoc, offering you a moment of total escape just a few hours from Bordeaux.

The beaches are within easy reach. Just a stone’s throw from the shops and market, they are lined with totally free parking lots. The resort is also well connected to the Vélodyssée, which runs along the seafront.

On the beaches, lifeguards are on hand from April to October to supervise your swims, so you can enjoy the ocean on the wings of the season. All you have to do is relax and enjoy!

A wide range of sporting activities are on offer! Directly on the beach in summer, it’s ideal for enjoying the ocean with family and friends!

Dance, pilates, fitness, volleyball, tennis… you’re bound to find something to suit you, on the beach or elsewhere! All activities are free and open to all.

  • Are dogs allowed on the beaches?

    For the effective dates of bathing supervision, and in the entire restricted zone, represented by fixed triangular signs with horizontal orange and black stripes: it is forbidden to allow dogs or any other animal to circulate, even when on a leash.

  • What do the flags mean?
    • Green flag: bathing is supervised and presents no apparent danger.
    • Yellow flag: bathing is supervised with limited or marked danger.
    • Red flag: swimming prohibited.
    • Red and yellow flags: supervised bathing area on the beach.
    • Purple flag: indicates water pollution or the presence of dangerous aquatic species.
    • Black and white checkered flag: water sports area where swimming is risky, but authorized.
