The beginning of naturism
Montalivet has always inspired a sense of freedom. As early as the 50s, our resort saw the development of naturism.
Alifestyle that encourages nudity in harmony with nature, it is based on respect for oneself, others and the environment. It’s a movement that invites individuals to live without clothing in appropriate environments such as beaches, campsites or designated naturist centers.
In 1950,Albert and Christiane Lecocq founded the Centre Naturiste Hélio-Marin de Guyenne,Europe’s first naturist vacation center. Passionate visionaries, they were convinced that the various natural elements that the naked body encounters develop both physical and mental well-being.
In the same year, they founded the Fédération Française de Naturisme (FFN), making Montalivet an emblematic site for the practice.
