Art trail: Terra Medoca

Let yourself be tempted by an inspiring walk in the heart of nature and discover the commune with a creative mind!

Visit an off-site exhibition that will awaken your curiosity and your thirst for the great outdoors. There’s no need to shut yourself away in a museum to marvel at and wonder about the environmental issues affecting Vendays-Montalivet.

An artistic and entertaining treasure hunt

Immerse yourself in this trail of environmental artworks that thinks big! Dune forests, pine groves, marshes and a historic village, discover these original creations on an immersive nature trail. Take a stroll around the resort and let your artistic curiosity carry you away, while taking a deep breath of fresh air with family, friends or alone, to reconnect with what’s essential.

Created in partnership with local association Aléa, Terra Medoca also has an educational objective. This permanent exhibition evolves and changes with the seasons. In total harmony with the landscapes that surround them, the works awaken, question and warn about environmental issues.

Now it’s your turn to discover and interpret them through your own eyes, as artists, as Vendaysins, as Médoc residents or as visitors!

What the artists have to say

My idea is to take up the idea that “everyone has to do their bit” and translate it into a large number of water drops arranged like an installation on the sphere, in different sizes to symbolize the multiplicity of possible actions.

The continents are represented in cork, male and female, to provide a variety of materials but also to represent the indispensable diversity. The oceans are painted with blue pigments.
